Wallpaper (also desktop image and desktop background) is a picture used as a background of a graphical user interface on a computer screen or mobile communications device. On a laptop it is typically for the desktop, whereas for a mobile phone it's usually the background for the 'home' or 'idle' screen. Though most devices comes with a default picture, users will usually amendment it to files of their selecting.
